Yesterday, the Denver Broncos’ third round running back Royce Freeman inked his four-year rookie contract. Freeman was the 10th and last Broncos’ draft pick to sign, with all of Elway’s selections now under four-year contracts. Bradley Chubb will have a fifth-year option in his contract as a first-round pick.

Freeman’s deal included a $997,020 signing bonus for the former Oregon Duck, Freeman scoring 64 touchdowns in 51 games with the Ducks.

Speaking to Broncos TV, Freeman commented, “It’s definitely a moment I’ve been thinking about since I was young, and to finally complete that just feels great.

“Training camp, I definitely feel like it’ll be intense. I think everybody’s excited just getting those juices back flowing.”

Freeman will be competing for touches with fellow running backs Devontae Booker, De’Angelo Henderson, Phillip Lindsay and David Williams, and is expected to push Booker in the fight for the starting spot.
